The designers get more time, in which they must create three complete looks, (which will be part of a complete collection, if they advance to the finals) while
keeping in mind styling,
cohesiveness and showing off their aesthetic as a designer. Judging will
decide who goes advances and shows a complete collection at Fashion
Week!

ABOUT MY DESIGN
My inspiration for my collection is nostalgia: memories and things I
used to love. The color palette consists of jewel tones (along with
their shades and tints) and metallics.
This specific outfit's inspiration is Japan, since I got obsessed with Japanese culture in middle school! :) I was inspired, specifically, by kimonos: the
long skirt on this outfit overlaps the top, hugs the thighs, and then
bells out at the knee. The shirt/top is geometric from the front, and
then scoops in the back (which has boning like a corset). I took the
reddish jewel tone for the top, and used a terra cotta color on the
skirt, to go along with the sea-green of the purse. Also, the tassel
around the waist represents my pastime of reading books (constantly): it
adds a touch of the Japanese inspiration, and also references to the
tassel on a bookmark.
Styling and accessories...
For this model's styling, I let her hair fall straight and then curl in
naturally at the end. Her bangs curl out on one side, to match with the
theme throughout the collection. She has a natural colored lip and her
eyeliner curls around to meet with her eyebrow, to go along with the
Asian-inspiration.

ABOUT MY DESIGN
This
design was meant to look simple from the front, with the back as the
wow factor. I also used the book inspiration for this one, and the
"bookmark" tassel in the back. The bottom of the dress is the same
sweater material from the other one, just in a different color.

ABOUT MY DESIGN
The upper right design is a textile pattern that I created of my
signature crown stained-glass style! When I was little, my family and I
went to a church that had these gorgeous stained-glass windows, and
they've always sort of stuck in my mind as a part of being young, so I
decided to incorporate them into the collection.
I used the pattern on the bottom, which is designed to almost look like capris from a distance, but is actually a skirt. The shirt is made of sweater material, cut with a deep scoop neck to reveal the underlying shirt.
I don't really like how the colors matched up on this one, but I suppose I could change it later if I get through to the final round (the designers who passed on the show were told to fix things, so I should too).
Styling and accessories...
For this model's styling, I swept her hair around in a mermaid style.
She has a natural colored lip and her eyeliner curls around to meet with
her eyebrow, to go along with the Asian-inspiration.

>Kawaii-Kochou: I
don't think I could pull it off, but I LOVE that stained glass skirt!
The capri look is very clever, and it's a gorgeous piece overall. At
first glance, I thought that the green/blue dress was too simple, but
the back definitely saves it and gives it a wow factor. The last outfit
is the weakest, but by no means weak. The stylization is beautiful, and I
definitely see the Japanese influence in it. A very well put together
collection.
>JennaLynHarms: The one reason that this tied with
Kimiko's (another contestant) collection is because I couldn't really see where the
collection overall was going. It looked like three different looks for
maybe two different collections. I do appreciate the colors - Yay! For
color - as well as the bookmark tassel accessories. My only complaint
would be the stained glass skirt. If it's intended to be that wow piece
in your collection then okay but there needs to be something to tie it
in with the rest. The shirt that is paired with though,I wouldn't mind
having for myself.
>MissKitty: I like the idea of doing a jeweled tone collection but it can get a bit lost with the variety of colors if they don't tie into each other. I also found the construction of the stained glass skirt to be a bit distracting compared to all the other looks.
>XenoPup:
I really like the use of color and the styling. The added accessories
work well with each of the looks. The stained glass skirt has a real
chance at being the "wow" piece in this collection.
